Sabanci University Nanotechnology Club

Posted by erinonder on Jan 29, 2012

Sabanci University Nanotechnology Club -SUNAC- was founded to render interaction between students and experts by arranging seminar series events, visits into firms, educative lectures in order to increase knowledge about nanotechnology and to create world-wide connections and international organisations.

3 main purposes can be represented as a basis of SUNAC. Firstly, SUNAC aims to inform students at Sabanci University about nanotechnology and nanoscience topics by arranging events, interactive conversations, lectures, seminar series. Secondly, we want to make a collaborative web and interaction between Sabanci University and other respectful universities which leads to growing knowledge box among university students all around the world. Lastly, SUNAC looks forward to arrange international organisations about nanotechnology and nanoscience with world-wide-known invited speakers.

Ideas can spread if you wish.

About Trip To Nanoteknoloji A.S.

Posted by taylan on Feb 26, 2012

We carried out our first visit to Nanoteknoloji A.S. The company informed us about their commercialized products and their products under the process of  commercialization. One of their significant commercialized product is Bor Power which is composition of Bor element, nanotechnology and tribology. Some of their gorgeous products under research phase are aluminium armor, cosmic radiation absorber glass. You can get knowledge about their whole projects from their official website.

We would like to appreciate their projects that mostly consume our national resources such as Bor. As can be known, Turkey has reserved 67 percent of Earth’s Bor. We, Turkish youth, are proud of existence of such a company that utilizes our national resources without any dependency on west’s technology. We would like to thank Cafer Akin, CEO of Nanoteknoloji A.S., who is the architect of this kind of entreprenourship.
